Want to do something creative but a blank page sends you into a panic? Do you love colour?
Then you’ll love the playfulness and excitement of monoprinting! This is an accessible and creative form of printmaking which uses found objects to print one-of-a-kind and often unexpected images. No drawing skills or art experience required. Its a fun technique that will ignite your creative spark.
We’ll be using ‘Arthur’, the studio etching press, to create our images with inks that are oil-based water-clean up and artist quality printmaking papers. You’ll also learn how you can print at home using a pasta maker or die-cut machine.
All printmaking materials supplied, including artist quality inks, printmaking papers and consumables. You’ll have access to an extensive collection of interesting bits to print with including leaves, grasses, threads, mesh, feathers and paper stencils.
You’ll need to bring:
- Apron and nametag
- Lunch and Drinks
- Optional – some favourite objects to print with like flat semi-dry leaves (press in phone book), feathers, anything thin but not metal
