Our workshop program for Winter is out now, check out what's on in our website calendar!
Rachael Lee is a local artist who works with non-toxic experimental printmaking techniques, creating layered works using linocut, etched linocut, stencils, collagraph, drypoint and monoprinting.
Rachael will talk about her ideas and techniques and how these have progressed over time. She will have displays of her favourite tools and plates, and will explain her particular techniques that she uses to get the best out of the linocut medium.
And even if you’re not into printmaking, you’ll be intrigued to learn how she creates captivating and complex images by pushing the boundaries of her artform.
Rachael is offering two linocut workshops during June at Hive Studios, so this is a chance to meet Rachael and see her work and ask questions.
If you’ve ever wanted to try lino printing or would like to sharpen your skills, this is the artist you need to learn from because Rachael has training in traditional linocut but uses experimental approaches to create beautifully complex and colourful imagery.
